AUDREY AULD MEZERA sometimes sounds as though she's from Texas instead of from her native state of Tasmania in Australia. Her music features mainly original songs, both poignant and wry, that will seem familiar by the end of the evening. She delivers acoustic ballads with subtle touches of twang that transcend folk, Americana, traditional country and roots music. Her live show is interspersed with hilarious tales told with an Australian tongue-in-cheek. She was a winner of the Chris Austin Song Contest at MerleFest 2006 in North Carolina. Audrey Auld Mezera is a joy to watch on stage. She loves to perform, and it shows in every song she sings.
